Division Record Context

  • Pro vs Open gap - Only 1-2 minutes separates Pro and Open records, showing that the strongest Open athletes rival Pro specialists.
  • Doubles advantage - Doubles records are 5-7 minutes faster than individual records thanks to shared station workload.
  • Relay speed - Relay records are ~15 minutes faster than individual records because each athlete only completes a quarter of the work.

What Record Progressions Tell Us

  • Slowing improvement rate - The smallest annual drops suggest we are approaching the physiological ceiling of the format.
  • Deepening talent pool - More elite athletes from running, CrossFit, and triathlon are entering HYROX®, compressing the top of the field.
  • Equipment standardisation - Consistent sled surfaces at major events have made records more reliable and comparable.
